Did you know that May the 4th is World Password Day? We live in a digital world where 123456 just doesn’t cut it anymore. From website security to email protection, this cybersecurity event encourages us to assess the security and strength of passwords to ensure the safety of all our digital assets and personal data.

We cannot stress the importance of proper password management as part of good online hygiene and security management.

An analysis from one of our partner software companies indicated that 28 billion exposed passwords, 98% of which were in plain text alongside the users’ email address.

Tips for password security:

  1. Passwords should be kept secret.
  2. Use unique passwords for each online account.
  3. Include a combination of letters, numbers and symbols.

Happy May the 4th and May The Force Be With You 😉
